Ardmore Veterans Memorial
Maintained by Ardmore Veterans Group, several memorials at the base of three flags representing the community (USA, Alabama and Tennessee) recognize area veterans.
Bay Tree Park
Serving as the cornerstone for many annual events, Bay Tree Park offers walking paths, benches, restroom facilities and a central gazebo. The patriotic marker honors those who fought in World War I and II, Korea, Persian Gulf and Vietnam.
Blount County Memorial Museum
The museum is dedicated to the memory of Blount Countians who served in our country’s wars. The building is constructed from old brick from Howard College (now Samford University).
Buffalo Soldiers Memorial
In 1866, Congress passed legislation establishing two cavalry and two infantry regiments, whose enlisted composition was made up of African Americans, to serve in the United States Army. This special memorial at Cavalry Hill is dedicated to the Buffalo Soldiers of the 10th Cavalry. The Buffalo Soldiers participated in the battles of Las Guasimas, El Caney, and San Juan Hill, winning six medals of honor for gallantry in action. Today, the memorial honors all African Americans who have served in all of the nation's wars.

Cherokee County Historical Museum
Along with historical artifacts relating to Cherokee County, the Museum houses military apparel, memorabilia, exhibits, journals and other personal items from those from the area who served in the armed forces of the United States.
Circle of Valor
Located on Colbert County Courthouse lawn, corner of N Main Street and W 3rd Street, is a collection of memorials honoring veterans of foreign wars: WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, Persian Gulf and Gulf (1st Iraq and Desert Storm, 2nd Iraq, Afghanistan) as well as the Purple Heart/Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Colbert County Confederate Memorial
Erected in 1911 by Tuscumbia Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy, the memorial is a tribute to the Confederate soldiers of Colbert County.
Colonel Ola Lee Mize Patriots Park & Etowah County War Memorial
Located adjacent to Noccalula Falls Park, the park, museum and monuments pay tribute to Etowah County veterans who lost their lives in combat. the Patriots Park, dedicated and named for Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Ola Lee Mize, features the Etowah County War Memorial, a tribute to all those who gave their lives in the service of their country from WWI through present day. A museum houses displays of local military interest and military equipment including a UH-1 helicopter, M-60 tank, Liberty Ship propeller and various artillery pieces.

Confederate Veterans Bicentennial Memorial
The monument recognizes the reunion of confederate soldiers in Hamilton, Marion County, Alabama in August 1904.
Cost of Freedom Veterans Museum
The nonprofit Cost of Freedom Veterans Museum opened in 2013 and documents every war the United States has fought in since the Revolutionary War.
Courtland Heritage Museum
Located on the Courtland town square in a 1900 building, the museum features historical displays relating to the area's agriculture, business, transportation, history and military connections.
Cullman Veterans Memorial Park
Cullman Veterans Memorial Park, located off Highway 31, sits at the entrance of Sportsman Lake Park. Open year round, the Memorial Park honors those of all branches of service who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The Park is home to the Alabama Veterans Memorial Wall, listing the names of 1,209 Alabama soldiers killed between 1963 and 1975. In addition, the park includes monuments from World War I and II, Korean War, Vietnam War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. There is also an Army tank, helicopter and a large, one-of-a-kind cement waving flag. There is a large pavilion designed to seat 150 people for shade as well as use in Veterans Day events.

DeKalb County Confederate Monument
Located in City Park, the monument was erected in 1913 by the sons and daughters of Confederate soldiers.
DeKalb County War Memorial
Located at the courthouse in downtown Fort Payne, the memorial lists the names of those killed in WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam and in international incidents from DeKalb County.
Dual Destiny Monument
Located in downtown Double Springs, the Dual Destiny monument represents the county’s dual affiliation during the Civil War. Created by Branko Medenica, the statue of a Civil War soldier, portrayed as one-half Union and one-half Confederate, symbolizes the war within a war and honors the Winstonians in both armies.
Etowah Memorial Bridge
Crossing the Coosa River, the 1094-foot bridge opened in 1927 and is dedicated to the World War I heroes from Etowah County who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
First Alabama Cavalry U.S. Army
Marker recognizes the 1st Alabama Cavalry, U.S., organized of southerners, mostly from northwest Alabaam, who fought against the Confederacy.
Franklin County Archives
The Franklin County Archives houses all records and archives for the county and has a Hall of Honor of those serving in different branches of the military. Located outside of the Archives building is Veterans Park, honoring those serving in different wars.
Freedom Bridge
Freedom Bridge pays tribute to the men and women who serve in the military and who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. It also recognizes Oneonta native and Medal of Honor recipient, Osmond Kelly Ingram who was one of the first U.S. Sailors killed during WWI when a German submarine torpedoed the USS Cassin.
Freedom Eagle/United We Stand Mural
Gourd artist and muralist Missy Miles of Hamilton painted Freedom Eagle, also known as the United We Stand mural, as a tribute to veterans. The mural is located in downtown Guin.
Gold Star Families Memorial Monument
The Gold Star Families Monument is a tribute to the brave veterans and their families who have made significant sacrifices for our nation's freedom. The monument serves as a lasting symbol of gratitude and respect for their service and sacrifice. This initiative was undertaken by the esteemed organization Vets Like Us, an organization dedicated to serving veterans in Morgan County, with help from the Woody Williams Foundation. There are approximately 200 Gold Star families in the Decatur area and over 8,000 veterans in Morgan County.

Homer Givens, America's First WWI Hero
Homer Givens of Florence was named America’s first WWI hero. A historical marker at Seven Points where the Givens home was once located recounts his heroic actions: “Following a bloody two-hour battle on Nov. 1, 1917, Corporal Givens stood alone after his comrades had fallen. He then managed to kill three enemy soldiers before being severely wounded by 23 pieces of shrapnel.”

Huntsville-Madison County Veterans Memorial Park
This beautiful park is easily accessible from downtown Huntsville and I-565. The memorial honors and pays tribute to all veterans, recognizes by name the Madison County veterans who were killed in action during all wars from WW I to present and recognizes and honors Madison County veterans awarded the Medal of Honor. Along with the main Veterans Memorial, the park contains a number of smaller Memorials and points of interest.

In Memory of Our Comrades of Sheffield 1917-1919
In memory of those serving in the armed services from Sheffield, the memorial was erected in 1923 by James R. Crowe Post, American Legion.
Jackson County War Memorial
Located on the square in downtown Scottsboro, the memorial commemorates Jackson County men and women who lost their lives in the wars of the 20th century: WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, as well as the Philippines (2002) and Iraq (2007).
Johnny Micheal Spann Memorial Park
Mike Spann deployed in the fall of 2001 to Afghanistan as part of the government’s response to the terrorist attacks of September 11th. He was conducting initial interviews of extremists held in Qali-Jangi fortress at Mazar-e Sharif when hundreds of prisoners revolted and he was attacked. His last act, just before he was killed by those who had supposedly surrendered, was to warn an Agency colleague of the imminent danger. Mike was killed on November 25, 2001: The first American killed in combat in Afghanistan.

Langston WWII Memorial
The 12 feet long by 8 feet high granite face monument, bears the name of the men from Langston who served during World War II are inscribed on its granite face. The motto "Lest We Forget" is centered on the face with an American Flag above it. The monument is located adjacent to historic Langston United Methodist Church.
Lawrence County Veterans Memorial
This monument is dedicated to all veterans from Lawrence County, Alabama, who served and sacrificed in all our nation's conflicts as well as during times of peace. The courthouse is undergoing a renovation and the monument has been moved to storage until work is completed (estimated May 2025).
Memorial Amphitheater
Built in 1934, the amphitheater is dedicated as a memorial to the valor and patriotism of the UNA students who served in World War I.
Memorial at Franklin County Courthouse
The monument located on the grounds of the Franklin County Courthouse is a memorial to those who fought in World War I and II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Military Order of the Purple Heart Memorial
The Military Order of the Purple Heart Memorial honors citizens of Morgan and neighboring Cullman County who were killed or wounded in action during military service. It is located in Sparkman Park, named for Hartselle native John Sparkman, who represented Alabama for 42 years in the U.S. Congress. The memorial was dedicated in 2004 and holds an annual ceremony to add new names to the list of those honored on the memorial.

While record collections remain the hub of important genealogical and other research, the Archives have grown to encompass much more, including a special tribute to Morgan County veterans.
Morgan County Veterans Memorial at Veterans Park
This park is dedicated to all Morgan County veterans who have given their lives while serving in the armed forces of the United States during active wartime. Each of the five granite monuments on the inner circle represents the five military branches of our armed forces. Upon these monuments are listed the names, rank, and wartime served for each individual who gave the ultimate sacrifice with their lives. Additional monuments in the park honor the Prisoner Of War (POW), Missing In Action (MIA), Blue Star Mothers/Gold Star Mothers and Purple Heart recipients.

Museum of Collinsville History
Located directly across street from Cricket Theatre in downtown Collinsville, the museum has several thousand items including photographs, newspapers, a printing press, military objects and post office memorabilia preserved, catalogued and on display for public viewing.
Never Forget Garden
Located in the rear of the Colbert County Courthouse, at the intersection of North Water Street and West 3rd Street, the garden is a living tribute to all of America's veterans and their families and a place to remember why millions of Americans have fought and died for our liberty and our freedom.
Oakwood Cemetary
This burial ground contains graves of veterans from all wars beginning with the American Revolution, including graves of approximately 100 unknown Confederate soldiers. Captain Arthur Keller, CSA, father of Helen Keller, and Brig. General James Deshler, CSA, are buried here.
Patriots Memorial Park
Patriots Memorial Park recognizes those individuals from DeKalb County that have lost their lives or made significant sacrifice to their country and county.
Phil Campbell Memorial Park
The Phil Campbell Memorial Park is dedicated to victims of the April 27, 2011 EF-5 tornadoes, along with veterans that gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country.
Red Bay Museum
The Red Bay Museum houses various displays of the town’s past. It also showcases the different branches of the military where Red Bay citizens served.
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
A tomb to an unknown soldier of the War of 1812 stands near Pikeville on an original portion of General Andrew Jackson's Military Road, which is still in use today.
TVA Goes to War Marker
Located at TVA's Visitor Center Kiosk, the marker describes TVA’s role during WWII. TVA answered an urgent call for more electric power by building 12 hydroelectric plants and one coal-powered steam plant—simultaneously. The resulting increase in power helped fuel factories that churned out more than 50,000 planes. As part of the Manhattan Project, TVA supplied millions of kilowatts of electricity to a top-secret facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This facility produced uranium that was used to make the atomic bomb which ultimately ended WWII.

U.S. Army M60A3 Main Battle Tank
Located on the right upon entering Spring Park via South Water Street, the tank was obtained from Ft. Rucker, Alabama by American Legion Post No. 31 on April 28, 1999. It entered service in 1960 and was used by 22 countries.
U.S. Veterans Memorial Musem
The Museum is dedicated to promoting and disseminating the accomplishments of American military men and women. The emphasis is on participants of World War I and subsequent conflicts, whose survivors and families can use the Museum facilities to reminisce on their own experiences and those of parents, grandparents, and other close relatives. The Museum displays more than 30 historical military vehicles from World War I to the present, including the oldest surviving jeep, the Ford Pygmy. Free admission is available for those currently serving in the United States Military as well as Active Duty and Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and First Responders, up to five family members with valid ID.

Donated by the Snead VFW, Post 5624, the memorial located in Snead Town Park includes engraved brick pavers that recognize and honor veterans.

This memorial features three different plaques: Operation Iraqi Freedom Veterans memorial, honoring the members of Det 1 B Co 155th Signal Battalion, Alabama National Guard, who served in in Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003-2005; Honor Roll monument, honoring those Halevyille residents who lost their lives in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Afghanistan; and Korean War Veterans memorial, honoring the members of the 107th Transportation Truck Company who served in the Korean War.

The Veterans Park, which is maintained by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, is home to several monuments to local residents who have died while serving their country. The park is also home to a bird sanctuary and joins Whippoorwill Park.

The town of Collinsville honors all veterans with a memorial composed of native stone columns standing on a brick field.
Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County
Located on a 6-acre site, the Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County honors all military service men and women from Jackson County. The central focus of the Park is the names of those from Jackson County inscribed in the black granite Honor Wall who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. Displays of military equipment and informative kiosks educate citizens and visitors, especially the youth, on military history and U.S. wars. The Patriots Walkway honors 10 Medal of Honor recipients from Alabama. At sunset each day the Park is illuminated and TAPS is played.

Veterans of Boaz Mural
The painting showcases six former Boaz mayors who served in the military and has photographs of two community members who were killed in action. Family of Boaz veterans can make a small donation and have their loved one’s name painted beneath the colorful mural.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial
Located on the front lawn of the Marshall County Courthouse facing Guntersville Avenue, the Memorial honors the veterans of Marshall County, Alabama who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation.
War Memorial
The memorial contains 183 names of those who served their country in conflicts abroad. Twelve of them are also recognized with a star by their name as soldiers killed in action.
Winston Cemetary
Veterans from the American Revolution through the Vietnam War are interred here. The cemetery is owned and maintained by descendants.
Winston County Veterans Memorial
With this memorial, the citizens of Winston County express their deepest gratitude to fellow citizens who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of freedom and to the many others who have been and are willing to do so.
World War 1 Memorial
Located in front of Rogers High School gymnasium, the marker is in memory of loved ones who were horoes in WWI 1917-1918.
